Eyebrow stamps and wigs are taking over Instagram

You’ve tried brow gels, powders, pencils and considered microblading, but nothing seems to give you a natural-looking perfect brow? Say hello to eyebrow stamps and wigs. Sounds crazy, but it may be worth a try…

We’ve been seeing this trend all over Instagram and had to try it out: Eyebrow stamps and wigs. Yep, wigs.

The internet is going crazy over it. Not only can both save precious time getting ready in the morning, they may serve an even larger purpose for those who suffer from hair loss due to cancer or illnesses like alopecia.

Eyebrows are the essential defining feature of every woman’s face. So, are they the next big thing or will they leave you looking like Frida Kahlo? Here’s everything you need to know.

What is an eyebrow stamp?
As the name suggests, it is a powdered stamp that directly colors your eyebrows within seconds. You rub them into a powder before stamping them on top of your brows.

How long will it last?

Depends on the color of the powder, but just like a pencil, it can last for the whole day and just take seconds to apply.

Is it worth the money?

Depends. Most of the people who have used the stamp have found themselves taking more time cleaning up the mess they’ve caused than actually just drawing with a usual pencil. If it does not work well with your eyebrow shape, it’s going to be a disaster, but if you have very thin brows or a similar style to the stamp, it could work. It also depends on the color of the powder. If it is too dark, it may look manly and you will spend more time trying to correct the look than you would have spent just doing your brows normally.

Trend #2: Brow Wigs

What are they?

It’s pretty much exactly as it sounds — a stick on wig for your eyebrows.

How does it work?

Surprisingly they are pretty easy to handle. Just remove your makeup, apply some lash glue to the brow bone area, adhere them to your face, and finished!

Are they worth it?

Well, it sounds crazy, but actually there’s no difference to applying false lashes or a hair piece. If you have NO brows (because of an illness, overplucking or permanent make up), brow wigs could be the perfect solution for you. You’re probably wondering if they look realistic, right? Well the surprising answer is yes, they actually do. They are made of real hair, so as long as they’re applied properly, no one would call them fake. The sticky brows literally go on the top of your brow area and fluff them up.

What do you think? Would you give it a try?
