THE HOTTEST HAIR-TRENDS FOR SPRING
Looking for a new look? Need some inspiration? From “blorange“ to “hair contouring“ and everything in between, we have some spectacular hair style ideas for you. Check out the must-have colors of 2017!
1. Blorange
Instagram is freaking out over this new hair color trend. The name for this shade comes from blood oranges, a type of orange that has a unique red-tinted color. Blorange was created by celebrity hairstylist Alex Brownsell, and offers a color between blonde, red, orange and ginger, which looks absolutely gorgeous!
2. Hair Contouring
Hair contouring uses freehand coloring and highlighting to enhance face shapes. Highlighting and shading certain parts of the hair can create the illusion of a different face shape, depending on what you want to accentuate. Just like the makeup technique, light shades are for highlighting and darker shades are for creating a shadow effect.
3. Lob
A long bob, or lob, is still the haircut of the season. If you’re not willing to go as short as a bob, it may be worth considering a lob. The lob ensures that the hair will graze your shoulders. Allowing for more styling ability, this trend is the perfect option for those that want a medium trim but still want a good amount of length. Lobs are beautiful in any texture – straight and sleek or wavy and messy.
4. Swedish White Blonde
This type of color is still the hottest trend for blondes this year. Note: When asking your hairdresser for platinum blonde, avoid using the word “ash”. It is better to ask for “cool blonde”. In this case the result will be more satisfying.
5. Tiger Eye Balayage
Named by the beautiful stone, this look brings the balayage technique to a higher level. Caramel highlights are painted upon a warm or dark chocolate base to create a silky chocolate color melting. Allison Rappel, colorist at the Antonio Prieto Salon in New York City says: “Tiger eye balayage is the new bronde!“
6. Color Melting
Whether you are brunette or blond, color melting is for everyone, because it allows colorists to use multiple tones of color to create seamless color from root to ends.
7. Metallic Manes
This look is usually achieved by mixing fashion colors like pink, lilac or copper with metallic tones of bronze, silver or gold for a radiant shimmer. To get that ashy tone, a nourishing hair treatment is essential. Visit a salon instead of trying it on your own to get a great hair therapy like Olaplex. Metallic pink, metallic blue or warm bronze are the top colors of the season.
8. Nude Hair Color
Actually, nude hair is the same shade of your skin tone that creates an overall nude look. Both your hair and your skin are in the same blondish shade which looks neutral, matte and healthy at the same time. Nude hair looks different on everyone and allows your features to shine.
9. Smoky Lilac
If you like it crazy and spectacular, this color will be perfect for you: smoky lilac. The result: a mysterious, unique shade that looks especially beautiful on longer hair.
