The most amazing food trend ever: Nicecream!

Category : Food | Written by : Iris Pohl

It’s tasty, healthy, vegan and incredibly easy to make. Plus “super-nice“ to your waistline: Nicecream! We show you how to make it…

Are you an ice-cream-addict and could eat ice cream for breakfast, lunch and dinner? Unfortunately, ice cream is often loaded with too much sugar and fat. Well, today I’m going to show you one of my favorite healthy desserts: Nice cream!

What makes it so nice? It’s simple, healthy and vegan. There is no added sugar – just natural ingredients, plus it is gluten and dairy free. All you need is ripe bananas and a powerful blender – this is the basis. Always. Then you can add fruits, nut milk, nut butter, seeds, dried fruit, protein powder (or the Women’s Best Slim Body Shake) and special toppings. Please note: The ripeness of the bananas really matters. If they are green, your nicecream won’t taste “nice“.

Enough talk, let’s get started! Here are my favorite recipes:

Piña-Colada-Mango-Swirl Nicecream

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced and frozen (Best you freeze it overnight)
  • 1 cup ripe pineapple, sliced and frozen
  • 1 cup ripe mango, sliced and frozen
  • 7 tablespoons coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp shredded coconut, plus extra for garnish

How to do it:

  1. Put all ingredients in a blender.
  2. Mix it well until it’s creamy and smooth. It may take a while and the processor may make some scary noises, but it’ll work, I promise. 🙂 Start slowly if your blender is not that powerful, pulse a few times to incorporate the ingredients.
  3. Scoop into serving bowls or ice cream cones and garnish with shredded coconut. That’s it. Enjoy your homemade nice cream!

Extra-tip: If you want green nicecream, just add some matcha powder.

Green matcha nice cream

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 ripe bananas, sliced and frozen
  • 2 tsp matcha green tea powder

How to do it:

  1. Put the frozen banana chunks into your blender and mix it well until it gets a creamy texture.
  2. When the bananas are creamy, add the matcha powder and blend until smooth. Leftover can be refrozen and then re-blended for a perfect texture. Enjoyyy!!
